Milestone XProtect product
SiteSync for XProtect
Manage Interconnect between Parent and Child — sync cameras, folder structure, and GPS instead of manual Management Client work.
Who is it for?
Integrators and control centers running Milestone Interconnect / Federation that need a clean Parent against multiple Child sites — without manually updating cameras, folders, and GPS after every field change.
SiteSync connects to the Parent Management Server and manages several Interconnect sites from one window: onboarding, hardware updates, folder structure, and consistent camera names. It is a yairsys tool for XProtect. It does not replace Management Client.
Core capabilities
- Connect to Parent Management Server (Basic / Windows / OAuth)
- Manage multiple Interconnect sites from one window
- Onboarding — add Interconnect hardware to Parent
- Update Hardware — discover new cameras on Child
- Diff-based folder sync into a Parent target folder
- Camera naming strategies (Parent / Child / site prefix)
- GPS sync (coordinates, direction, coverage)
- Export/import GPS via Excel/CSV
- Orphan camera handling (ignore / Trash + Disable)
Optional
- Create Smart Client Views from folder structure
- Copy camera permissions (including time profiles)
- Scheduler via Windows Task Scheduler
Where it sits
SiteSync can optionally create Smart Client Views from the folder structure as part of sync. ViewsSync is the Views-only tool: build or copy Views, including Federation remapping. A live source that is not already a Milestone camera goes through StreamBridge, a Recording Server driver. A custom MIP plugin or driver, beyond the ready tool, is Milestone development.
Platform notes, with vendor sources: XProtect. Short answers: FAQ. On-camera apps are a different layer — Axis ACAP and Hanwha Wisenet — and they do not sync Interconnect hardware.
Questions about SiteSync
Does SiteSync replace Management Client?
No. It shortens repeated Interconnect work — onboarding, hardware updates, and sync — instead of doing those steps by hand every time.
What is the difference between SiteSync and ViewsSync?
SiteSync focuses on Interconnect sync — hardware, folders, and GPS — and can optionally build Views from the folder tree. ViewsSync is Views-only, including copy and camera remapping.
Can we start with a Demo?
Yes. Demo includes connect, onboarding, Update Hardware, and Preview. Execute (sync), Scheduler, and GPS export/import require a Trial or Full license.
